The National Society of Decorative Painters (SDP) is made up of a rare collection of some 26,000 - 30,000 members spread worldwide. Anyone can jon the Society. Members range from beginning painters and decorative artists to manufacturers and distributors of painting supplies. Men and women, young and old, have found an exciting and educational life in the creative world of decorative painting. The Society was organized October 22, 1972 with 22 members.
The annual Convention highlights and brings together painters, artists, teachers, and suppliers from all across the world.
As a member you will receive The "Decorative Painter" the official publication of the Society. Every other month (6times annually) the Decorative Painter is mailed to members. Included in the magazine is a variety of topical sections, news of the Society and its members and special lessons and instructions. Full color reproductions of finished pieces help the artist refine their skills.
